The Mpumalanga CET College successfully hosted a Partnership Session with key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and advance skills development in the province.
We were honoured to engage with representatives from DHET, CET Branch, Ehlanzeni TVET College, Nkangala FET College, EWSETA, FASSET, and Witbank SAPS. The session focused on building strategic partnerships, exploring opportunities for learner support, and enhancing community empowerment through education and training.
Together, we are shaping a brighter future through meaningful collaboration and shared commitment to lifelong learning.

The Principal of Mpumalanga Community Education and Training College, Mr K.M. Mokone, attended the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) Sector Strategy Session held at the College of Cape Town over the weekend of 16–17 January 2026.

The strategic engagement brought together leadership from Community Education and Training (CET) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges to reflect on institutional performance across the sector. The session further focused on strengthening strategic leadership, enhancing coordination, and promoting collective responsibility within the broader education system

Discussions centred on aligning institutional strategies with national education priorities, improving governance and operational effectiveness, and fostering collaboration to ensure a responsive and inclusive post-school education sector. The session reaffirmed the sector’s commitment to building a unified, sustainable, and high-performing education system that responds to the skills and development needs of communities
Mpumalanga CET College hosted World Aids Day celebration delivered by Department of health, Dr JS Moroka, Sub district office on the 11th of December 2025 at the central office.

Mpumalanga CET College, in partnership with Nokeng Fluorspar Mine (RF) (PTY) LTD and the Bakgatla Ba Mocha Ba Maloka Traditional Council, successfully hosted a prestigious Graduation and Skills Showcase Ceremony on 21 November 2025. The event aimed to acknowledge learner achievements and provide a platform for showcasing the practical skills developed through the college’s skills programmes.
During the ceremony, learners exhibited a range of garments they designed and produced. The showcase commenced with traditional attire, highlighting cultural heritage and craftsmanship. This was followed by a display of evening gowns, demonstrating advanced garment construction and design principles. The final segment featured freestyle garments, allowing learners to express creativity, innovation, and individuality.
The atmosphere in the hall was vibrant and celebratory, with creativity and pride evident on the faces of all participating learners. The event reflected the college’s commitment to skills development, community partnerships, and empowering learners with opportunities for growth and recognition

Yesterday, 20 October 2025, Mpumalanga Community Education and Training (CET) College held its final ordinary Council meeting, marking the end of term for the 2020–2025 College Council.
The occasion was both joyous and emotional, as the College celebrated and bid farewell to dedicated Council members who have, over the past five years, made significant contributions to the institution’s growth, governance, and strategic direction.
In recognition of their outstanding leadership and service, certificates of appreciation and branded jackets were presented to all Council members.
In his remarks, the College Principal commended the Council for their unwavering commitment, accountability, and guidance in advancing the mission of community education and training across Mpumalanga.
As the College looks ahead to the next chapter, it reaffirms its commitment to empowering communities through lifelong learning, strengthening partnerships, and promoting transparent, inclusive governance.
